During the address of Governor ESL Narasimhan at a joint sitting of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council in Hyderabad on Monday, the Congress members decided to stage a protest and created a ruckus.

The Congress MLAs flung papers and microphones in the air while shouting slogans against the ruling TRS government alleging that the farmer and unemployment issues were ignored.

The Telangana Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud suffered injuries after a microphone allegedly thrown by Congress MLC Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, hit him. The microphone was thrown at Governor ESL Narasimhan but missed and hit Goud near his eye. He was first checked by a duty nurse at the Assembly and then taken to the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital for treatment.

TRS condemned the unruly and unprecedented behaviour demanding the suspension of those unruly Congress MLAs and MLCs along with a police case. However, the Congress denied all charges and alleged that their leaders were beaten up by Marshals.
