Rs 400 crore for Rayadurgam-Shamshabad metro rail
The Government is planning to ensure that the LB-Nagar Ameerpet and Hightech City-Ameerpet routes of the Metro railway would be inaugurated by June this year.
Similarly, in deference to CM KCR’s repeated requests, the Metro Rail has allocated Rs 400 crore to extend the metro rail from Rayadurgam. The money would be used to address issues of land acquisition and relief and rehabilitation. Metro rail sources said that the total expenditure for this Rayadurgam-Shamshabad airport line would be Rs 6200 at the rate of Rs 200 crore per kilo metre. Last year too, the governmet has allocated Rs 200 crore for the all-important factor.
So far 14500 crore have been spent on laying the route between LB Nagar and Miyapur, JBS and Falaknuma and Nagole and Rayadurgam. But, it is yet to be decided as to who will bear the cost of the construction.
