Denied a movie outing by husband, woman jumps into a lake

In a bizarre incident that took place in Vijayawada today, a woman jumped into a lake after her husband refused her plan to watch a movie.

According to the police, the woman had an argument with her husband when the latter denied her plans of the movie. Upset with this, she jumped into a lake from a bridge. The husband, who didn’t know how to swim too jumped into the lake in a bid to save her.

A police constable, who was nearby noticed the couple drowning and rescued them by jumping into the lake. They were admitted to a nearby hospital and their condition is said to be stable.
