KTR hails Hyderabad's feat as the best city to live in India
Hyderabad retains its position as the best city to live in India for the fourth year in a row even though this year, it had to share the top spot with Pune, which attracts averagely good housing facilities and availability of consumer goods for international employees.
In the latest Mercer Quality of Living Rating 2018 which was released on Tuesday, Hyderabad held its top rank among Indian cities. The relatively low crime rate and environmental factors such as the climate in the city have helped achieve the spot for Hyderabad.
Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao took to Twitter to acknowledge this feat of Hyderabad.

Both Pune and Hyderabad ranked at the 142nd spot in the survey which is the highest among the seven other Indian cities, including Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata in the list.
Across the globe, Vienna retained its top position among the list of 450 cities, the ninth consecutive year followed by Zurich and Auckland, Munich sharing the third spot.
A separate ranking on city sanitation held Hyderabad at 209th position with Bengaluru ranking highest among the Indian cities at 194. The survey analyses a city’s waste removal and sewage infrastructure, air pollution, levels of infectious disease, water availability and quality.
