KTR: TS Government encouraging startups to provide more employment opportunities
IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday told the Assembly that the Telangana government is taking initiatives to encourage startups which can expect employment opportunities to youth.
Announcing that the second phase of T-Hub will be ready by the end of this year, KTR said that it is being built up in an area of 3.60 lakh sqft, which will be probably the biggest innovation centre in the world and added that the Phase-I is planning 346 startups.
Apart from encouraging startups, the government is focusing on rural innovations, said the Minister informing that Rs 2 crore was granted to a rural innovator Chintakindi Mallesham, who hails from the weaver community, to take his innovations forward, further asserting that the state government will promote any rural innovator irrespective of their field.
He even shared that the government has launched IT towers at Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and is planning to set up one in Mahbubnagar also.
KTR proudly announced that three states-Delhi, Goa and Assam have entered into agreements with the Telangana government for guidance on IT hubs.
