Man with three wives gets ready to marry fourth time
A man from Nizamabad district, Pawan Kumar Chatre already was married three times and was getting ready to marry the fourth time.
With the help of the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) community, his three wives staged a Dharna in front of his house in Rajiv Nagar of the city.
He first got married to Ailabayi in Tember area of Maharashtra. After the two years of marriage, he moved to Nanded from Nizamabad. He then married Deepa from Gollamada village of Nirmal district in 2015 and settled in Adilabad district. Later in 2017, he married Rani from Chennur village of Vijayawada.
Recently, he got ready to marry a fourth girl from Kerala.
However, his first wife filed a lawsuit against him over harassment and later filed for divorce. She later came to know about his other two marriages and approached the AIDWA to help seek her justice. On Tuesday, both his wives accompanied by AIDWA representatives staged a protest in front of his house.
Currently, Pawan Kumar and his father Chandrakant have fled, while his mother Padmavathi is in the house. The AIDWA stated that Pawan Kumar had collected about Rs 40 lakhs from the victims and sought for the money to be returned to them.
