Hospital at Ameerpet sealed for sex-determination

A hospital at Ameerpet along with a scanning centre in Krishnanagar was sealed after doctors were caught red-handed for conducting sex-determination tests.

District Health Authorities on Wednesday booked criminal cases under Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques against them.

Following HC calling out the health authorities and police over a video submitted against Gayathri Nursing Home, several decoy operations by a 20-member team were held last week.

A doctor, two nurses and two ASHA workers at the hospital were removed from duty on charges of colluding with the hospital and scanning centre to conduct pre-natal diagnostic techniques.
