KTR: 46000 ponds in the state are being developed

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday laid the foundation stone of the Neknampur pond development.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that 46000 ponds in the state are being developed in Mission Mode. 

KTR also said that 40 ponds will be developed by GHMC within ORR for Rs 441 crore and another 38 ponds will be undertaken by HMDA further urging for the stockers' cooperation in the development of ponds.

Elaborating further, he said, “Each pond will prevent the construction of the complete water level. “

KTR pointed out that the sewage plants would be set up without drainage in the ponds. 

He said, “We have collected Rs. 100 crore for the development of wind farm. All apartments in 100 flats are required to establish STPs. This is the responsibility of the builders.”

MP Konda Visheshwara Reddy, City Mayor Bantu Rammohan MLA Prakash Goud, Deputy Mayor Baba Pasiduddin, GHMC Commissioner Janardana Reddy, HDA Commissioner Chiranjeevi and others participated in the program.
