KCR to hold Third Front talks with Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik next month
In a bid to form a Federal Front at the national level, Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao will be meeting Odisha Chief Minister and supremo of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Naveen Patnaik in the first week of May.
According to the reports, KCR has been invited by the Odisha CM to Bhuvaneshwar in the first week of May to hold talks regarding the proposal for an alternative political front at the national level against the two national parties- BJP and Congress.
The meeting has been set for May keeping in view of the ongoing Assembly session in Odisha.
Patnaik is the third leader, KCR is approaching for his Third Front agenda to bring about a qualitative change in national politics.
Earlier, he met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata and former Prime Minister and JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda in Bengaluru last week. Both of the leaders extended support for his proposal.
The Chief Minister is expected to head to Chennai after his Bhuvaneshwar visit as reports suggest that he is keen to seek DMK supremo M Karunanidhi’s support.
