KTR: Restoration of Moazzam Jahi Market to be completed in 4 months
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday surveyed the premises of the Moazzam Jahi Market in Hyderabad where he announced the plans for the renovation work to be taken up costing Rs 10 crore adding that the works will be completed in four months.
Addressing the media, he said that they plan to fix the defunct clock tower, apart from accommodating shops and eateries and building new public toilets.
The Minister even shared his visit and uploaded pictures on Twitter.

Constructed in 1935 by the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the Moazzam Jahi Market was named after his second son Moazzam Jah. Initially, the MJ Market was constructed as a flower and fruit market, but now it hosts several popular ice-cream outlets.
