The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is gearing up for the annual plenary at the   GBR Gardens in Kompally area of Hyderabad to be held on April 27.

Telangana Ministers KT Rama Rao and G Jagadish Reddy on Monday visited the venue along with several TRS leaders and reviewed all the necessary arrangements.

The one-day plenary would take place from 10 am to 5 pm and about 13,000 delegates are expected to attend the event.

The plenary would hold discussions on various issues and resolutions will be adopted by nine committees.

Addressing the media, KTR said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will announce his plans on the Federal Front, as an alternative to the BJP and the Congress, during the event.

He said that KCR intends to bring about a qualitative change in Indian politics by setting up an alternative front at the national level as both the BJP and Congress have failed to cater to people’s needs for 70 years. The Minister further said that the Federal Front idea will be discussed at the plenary meeting as to how it should be set up.

KTR further said that the TRS plenary will be an extensive party meeting discussing the policies and future course of action ahead of 2019 general elections besides the party’s role in the development of Telangana,

The TRS Chief will be inaugurating the plenary by hoisting the national flag and delivering the valedictory address.

When quizzed on the possibility of him taking the reigns as the TRS new president, KTR dismissed the question saying that KCR is capable to look after the party affairs perfectly and there is no need to appoint a working president in the party.
