Mishap at Chandrababu's public meet in Dwarapudi, several injured

During the public meeting of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Dwarapudi near Mandapet, a small mishap occurred on Tuesday leading to several people getting injured.

The meeting was being held to celebrate National Panchayati Day.

The makeshift sheets for people to cross a culvert and reach the venue of the public meeting collapsed and several people fell into it.

The organizers of the public meeting had placed sheets on the canal for the people to cross over. However, with people moving in both the directions and the sheets being of cheap quality, it collapsed causing many people to sustain injuries.

The trapped victims were immediately rescued by the police.
