Finance Minister Etela Rajender on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for integrated hostel buildings at Ujwala park in Karimnagar.

Speaking at the occasion, he said that the Telangana government is all set to sanction loans to Minorities and SCs, STs with 80 percent subsidy without bank linkage in May and June.

The Minister stated that the government has planned ’Self-Respect Community Bhavans’ for all communities this year at a cost of Rs 2 crore to Rs 5 crore each in five-acre land in Hyderabad.

It is a first that subsidized loans are being given to beneficiaries without bank linkage through the SC, ST, BC, and Minority welfare departments.

This development comes in the wake of allegations that bankers don’t give their consent through various departments to sanction such loans.
