Fake job racket busted in Hyderabad, Police nab Army officer, six others
An army officer along with six others have been arrested for allegedly cheating job-seekers by promising them jobs in defence and IT firms.
A press release from Hyderabad police said the accused V Ramanjaneyulu, working as Naik at the Artillery Centre Golconda area was nabbed by the police along with six others.
Police raided different locations including a fake job consultancy office where they seized three laptops, one printer, fake rubber stamps of the Indian Army besides fake appointment orders/call letters of the Army and original educational certificates of 33 candidates.
The fake job consultancy allegedly collected money and cheated unemployed youths after promising them jobs in Armed forces, Indian Railways and software jobs in MNCs.
As per preliminary investigation, they demanded Rs 2.5 lakh from each candidate and several job aspirants were cheated in this bid. However, only two complaints have been lodged so far. Further investigation is on.
