Newly-wed woman gets husband murdered in Vizianagaram

A newly-wed couple traveling on a bike was attacked by unknown assailants on Monday night near Thotapalli in Gurugubilli Mandal in Vizianagaram. The husband died on the spot but his wife escaped with serious injuries.

However, in the police investigation, fresh developments cropped up in the case.

According to the police, Gourisankara Rao from Chitlapudivalasa village in Srikakulam district got married on April 28 to Saraswati from Kadekalla village in Veeraghatlam mandal of the same district.

The investigation revealed that the attack on Gourisankara Rao was a pre-meditated one and the plan was hatched by his wife.

Saraswati, who was reluctant to marry Gourisankara Rao planned the deadly attack which was carried out by her friend, Siva and a rowdy-sheeter from Vizag, Gopi.

All the suspects have been arrested and a case has been registered in this regard.
