Hyderabad: In wake of the recent development following the  forensic reports in the cash for vote case, YSR Congress has said that TRS government should initiate penal process in a fair manner and bring the mastermind of the scam to book.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, senior party leader Botsa  Satyanarayana said that the TRS government should conduct an impartial  inquiry into the cash for vote case and bring the main persons responsible  for the act to book.

Though there was audio-visual evidence nailing down Chandrababu Naidu, why he was spared till now is beyond comprehension. Only the MLA who acted as courier was arrested and the case seems to be hushed up, he said.

As the forensic lab in Chandigarh has sent its report, the TRS Government  should precede as per law and conduct a fair inquiry to upkeep the  principles of democracy. After the case, Chandrababu Naidu has compromised on many fronts to TRS government and has given up the rightful share of Andhra Pradesh on various issues, he said.

He criticized the Chandrababu Naidu for going back on its promises on constructing 125-feet statue of BR Ambedkar besides allotting 15 acres of  land and releasing GOs sanctioning Rs 190 crores but not calling for tenders.‘When our leader Merugu Nagarjuna has on protest it was foiled by Guntur police and we condemn the highhandedness of the police’, he said.
