Maoists call for bandh on May 21 for special status

The Maoists have given a call for a state bandh on May 21 demanding special state status to Andhra Pradesh. In a statement, Maoist official spokesperson Jagabandhu said that the a special status can be achieved only through struggles and not by trickery. 

Referring to the assurances given by the TDP and the BJP, Jagabandhu asked political parties to study the development in the states that have special status.

He called upon the people to become part of the nation-wide long-term people’s struggle against the capitalists.
