Air-conditioned bus shelter comes up in Hyderabad

An air-conditioned bus shelter has been launched in Hyderabad on Tuesday. A part of the project, taken up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will have 826 bus shelters coming up across the city soon.

The bus shelter includes mobile charging units, drinking water facilities, Wi-Fi, ATM and toilets besides air-conditioning.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao at Shilparamam inaugurated the first one at Shilparamam. He also launched the first Loo & Café, a luxury washroom concept floated by the GHMC quipped with Wi-Fi, ATM, diaper station, coffee vending machines, and toilet. The facility also caters to the needs of the physically challenged and women. 

KTR also inaugurated a water reservoir at Ayyappa Society, built at a cost of Rs.6.8 crore, and another one at Hafizpet.
