TDP Leaders Loot Sand & Silt Resources In AP: Srikanth Reddy

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA G Srikanth Reddy alleged that the ruling TDP leaders were exploiting the natural resources of sand and silt in the water bodies.

Taking advantage of the government order, he said the leaders were digging sand reaches without paying any royalty. He pointed out that the earlier GO 23 was allowed to use sand mining for commercial needs. The new order permitted to exploit the Sand reaches for any purposes. 

In a scathing attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu,  the YSR Congress MLA said that the TDP leaders are also shifting silt from the local water bodies violating all prescribed conditions.  The indiscriminate digging of the ponds deprived the farming community of irrigation water during agriculture season. 

The ruling party leaders swindled crores of public money by not paying royalty to the government and also diverting the funds in the name of Neeru-Chettu scheme.Do we really need  this government?, Srikanth Reddy asked.
