Two steel flyovers get TS Govt’s approval in Hyderabad
Construction of flyovers from Indira Park to VST and from Ramnagar to Baghlingampally has gotten an approval from the Telangana government and Rs 426 crore has been sanctioned for the same.
These flyovers, however, will be made of steel and have steel piers, steel pier cap, steel girder with cast-in-situ deck slab.
The route from Kattamaisamma temple, Lower Tank Bund to Hindi Maha Vidyalaya is stoic with heavy traffic every day following which the GHMC has proposed the construction of flyovers to ease traffic flow on the route.
To be taken up under Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) the project was accorded the administrative sanction on Wednesday through GOMs No.368 and also the expenditure will be met from GHMC funds.
The 2.610 kms elevated corridor will be crossing the major intersections at NTR Stadium junction, Ashok Nagar junction, RTC crossroads junction, Baghlingampally and VST (Ramnagar) junctions.
The corridor from Indira Park to VST junction will be constructed with a cost of 350 crores will take off from Lord Ganapathi temple and land at Baghlingampally junction. Subsequently, the Ramnagar to Baghlingampally three-lane flyover will commence near RTC Kalyana Mandapam and land at BE Lane.
