Government committed to empower BCs: Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured to provide pensions and ration cards to all eligible persons in the state before the launch of the Nava Nirmana Deeksha. He said he would ensure that everyone gets these benefits regardless of whether the Centre supports them or not. 

He said tha the Government is providing scholarships to the students under the Vidyonnathi scheme. He said the State Government has allocated Rs 12000 crore in the budget for the BC welfare. He also slammed the Opposition for their opposition to his making a BC, the chairperson of the TTD board. 

He said he was trying to give as many posts as he can to the BCs. He said the Government was also mulling inclusion of washermen community in the SC category.
