KTR to the rescue of people in need of treatment Responding to a request by Katam Himavarsha on Twitter, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao assured to get the procedure of liver transplant costing Rs 30 lakh done at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences(NIMS) in Hyderabad.

Directing his office to coordinate in this regard, KTR even urged Health Minister C Laxma Reddy to take care of the boy’s needs. Tweet:

The Minister also came to the rescue of a patient in need of brain surgery. The Twitter user had mentioned that his mother’s surgery required Rs 15 lakh and KTR assured to provide support. Tweet:

KTR, who responds to several pleas on Twitter came forward to help another person who is said to have a nervous disorder and got admitted to a hospital in Tarnaka, but was told to shell out Rs 4 lakh for treatment. While stating that the ailment does not come under Arogyasri to avail help, he approached KTR for help and the minister responded positively adding that he would help him through the Chief minister’s Relief Fund.
