2,500 cops to be deployed for Telangana Formation Day fete

 In the wake of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2, around 2,500 police officers have been deployed at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad with Special Octopus forces alsos stationed at important junctions in the city.

Hyderabad traffic police has even imposed diversions from 9 am to 12.30 pm to facilitate smooth flow of traffic at the venue.

Hyderabad commissioner of police, Anjani Kumar appealed to the citizens and police officers to head to the parking space once the VIPs leave. 

The parade will be starting by 9.30 am and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to participate by 10.30 am.

The general administration department and GHMC have worked to ensure the arrangements for the programme.
