Monsoon to hit Hyderabad in next 24 hours
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the Southwest monsoon is most likely to reach Hyderabad in the next 24 hours.
While the monsoon has already reached the southern cities of Chennai and Bengaluru, it is expected to arrive in Hyderabad between Wednesday evening and Thursday evening.
A warning has also been issued regarding heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across parts of Telangana. The city recorded moderate rainfall in some parts with the maximum rainfall of 15.5 mm recorded at Ibrahimpatnam.
According to the IMD officials, the rainfall in Hyderabad has exceeded normal figures since June 1 as a total of 9 mm of average rainfall was recorded for the city over the four days, 27 percent in excess of the average at this time of the year.
Coming to the temperatures in the city, they remained high on Tuesday with the maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25.3 degrees Celsius.
The IMD on Monday stated that the forecast for Wednesday was a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.
