Andhra Pradesh (AP) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit president, Kanna Lakshminarayana on Thursday revealed that a delegation of their party led by him, met Governor ESL Narasimhan at the latter’s official residence Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad where they lodged complaints against Tourism Minister Akhila Priya and the police in the state.

He stated that the BJP condemned the language used by the minister against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public meeting recently organised on behalf of the government.

The BJP leader further condemned the remarks made by AP Planning Commission vice-chairman, Kutumba Rao and criticised the inaction of the police in stopping the attack on party’s national president Amit Shah convoy at Alipiri in Tirupati on Friday.

The delegation of BJP leaders even submitted a memorandum to the Governor last week requesting him to initiate appropriate action against the recent attack on Amit Shah. In the memorandum, the leaders said the law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh was quite alarming adding that the safety is still in question for even those who are provided with ‘Z’ category security.
