Telangana Congress leaders meet Speaker on party MLAs suspension
A delegation of Telangana Congress leaders, headed by CLP leader Jana Reddy on Monday met Assembly speaker S Madhusudana Chary to question the reason behind the two expelled Congress legislators - Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar, who despite having the court’s judgement in their favour is not being restored their membership in the Assembly.
The Congress leaders expressed their disappointment on the government and Assembly authorities not implementing the High court’s judgement which has been given over 50 days.
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded the immediate restoration of the membership of the two MLAs in the Assembly. MLA Revanth Reddy questioned the Speaker for not exercising his power and went on to question him repeatedly on the issue which is learnt to have upset the Speaker, who decided to leave the meeting.
However, the Telangana Congress leaders managed to pacify the situation.
The party leaders further stated that they won’t be backing down until the Congress MLAs are restored their membership in the Assembly.
