KTR, Uttam Kumar come to the rescue of aged couple
Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao swiftly responded to a tweet by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy regarding a poor aged couple living in a hut in ST colony in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district being asked to pay Rs 500 towards property tax.
Uttam Kumar Reddy brought the issue to the notice of Chief Ministers Office and KTR by tweeting the photo of the aged couple and their tax receipt further urging to allot a double bedroom house to them, Tweet:
This aged couple living in a hut from Komaram Bheem Asifabad District has been asked to cough up Rs. 500 property tax. Local officials’ apathy is sickening. Responding positively over the issue, KTR directed the district collector to rectify it, provide the couple with a two-bedroom house and Aasara pension. The Minister also thanked Uttam Kumar for bringing the issue to his notice. Tweet:
