Monsoon to make a comeback in Hyderabad
While the residents of Hyderabad might not be satisfied with the light showers on Sunday afternoon, the monsoon is likely to make a strong comeback on June 22, according to the India Meteorological Department in Hyderabad.
A heavy spell of rain was recorded in the city on June 2 which brought down the maximum temperature to 30.7 degree Celsius. However, with the current hiatus of rainfall, the maximum temperature settled back at 37 degree Celsius on Sunday.
Now, the meteorologists claim that the mercury levels will decline again soon in the city as the monsoon activity is expected to increase over the weekend. From June 22, the monsoon circulation will revive and all districts in Telangana will receive light to moderate rainfall.
On the other hand, light showers were recorded in isolated areas in the city particularly in areas such as Gachibowli, Madhapur, Film Nagar, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta on Sunday. Districts such as Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy, Komarabheem, Mahbubabad, Vikarabad, Nizamabad also received light rainfall. As per IMD, a warning has also been issued predicting thunderstorms for all districts from June 18-20.
