Bus turns turtle in Nalgonda; Two killed, seven injured

Two persons including a woman were killed after a private bus turned turtle at Vemulapally in Nalgonda district in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The bus belonging to Laxmi Gayatri Travels was heading to Cheerala in Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad with 36 passengers. At around 3.15 am, the bus turned turtle after crossing NSP left canal at Vemulapally.

The deceased were identified as Ellamalla Subba Ramamma and Billi Nageshwar Rao.

Seven others sustained serious injuries and were rushed immediately to the Area hospital at Miryalaguda with the help of the locals and the police.

According to the reports, the bus driver, Pundari Srinu lost control of the vehicle while trying to negotiate a turn near NSP left canal which resulted in the mishap. However, the driver fled the spot after the accident.
