Dalita Tejam programme concluding meeting will be organized at Nellore

Amaravati: The TDP is going to organize the concluding meeting of Dalita Tejam – Telugu Desam programme with an estimated gathering of more than one lakh attendees. All these gathering would be from Dalits across the state. The concluding meeting will be organized at Nellore city on June 30 at around 3 PM, where Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will deliver key note, explained the TDP State President Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao in a press conference at CM’s Grievance Hall at Undavalli in Guntur on Tuesday.

Kala Venkata Rao explained that, Chandrababu Naidu will address the gathering. All the MLAs, MPs, Ministers and Dalit leaders will participate in it from across the state to make it as biggest such meetings in the country.

This is the first of its kind biggest meeting. From last four to five months, the Dalita Tejam programme has been organizing in the state by the TDP.

During these meetings, party created awareness among Dalits about the welfare and development programmes.

One lakh members expected for this programme, he added.

Explaining that Chandrababu Naidu was giving highest priority to the Dalits, Kalavenkata Rao said that the tenders will be called for construction of Ambedkar Statue at Amaravati with an estimated amount of Rs 160 crore, shortly. The tenders are under finalization stage.

From this concluding meeting, TDP will explain the socio economic and developmental issues.

The Dalita Tejam is being organized from ward level to district level and the meeting at Nellore is going to be the state level meeting. Kala Venkata Rao invited all the public to participate in the meeting.

Minister for Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu said that the Dalita Tejam, Telugu Desam programme was started on January 26.

He said that in this concluding meeting, the leaders will discuss about what TDP did for the Dalits from its formation to till date and how other parties suppressed them.

The TDP has been striving for the development of Dalits and did a lot in the past, he added.

Majority of Dalits are there in Nellore, hence the Chief Minister accepted to organize it there.

“We were successful in creating awareness among them about the development activities did in the last four years.”

YS Rajasekhar Reddy suppressed the Dalits, he blamed. Employment, loans and other opportunities provided to the Dalits in TDP government.

The previous governments misused SC ST Sub plans but this government spent complete amount on it, he said.

After this meeting, we will continue awareness creating meetings.

Nellore district leader and Minister for Urban Development Narayana said that this programme ensured reaching out of the government’s welfare schemes and individual benefits to each and every beneficiary among Dalits.

Minister for Excise KS Jawahar said that apart from welfare and development, TDP gave priority for Dalits in political arena from its foundation to till date and all these will be discussed in the concluding meeting. TDP is a party of Dalits.
