KTR inspects Hyderabad Metro Rail trail run from Ameerpet to LB Nagar
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao on Wednesday inspected Hyderabad Metro works between Ameerpet and LB Nagar.
The Minister accompanied by Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, MP Malla Reddy and scores of officials took the trail run of the Metro Rail from Ameerpet to LB Nagar on the second phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR).
KTR reviewed the various facilities being provided on the new service.
Following the completion of month-long trial runs, the 16-km stretch will be open to the public and begin its services.
Chief Electrical Inspector DVS Raju for Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) inspected the Overhead Electric Traction System (OETS) between Punjagutta to LB Nagar Metro stations on Monday and accorded sanction for its energisation.
The HMR authorities intend to complete the trials by July and push into service by August, after seeking several permissions by the concerned officials.
