KTR: LB Nagar-Ameerpet Metro open to public by July
Municipal administration and urban development minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday announced that the LB Nagar-Ameerpet Metro stretch will be open to the public by July-end after Chief Minister inaugurates it.
KTR inspected Metro stations at Nampally, Lakdikapul and MGBS where he directed the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) officials to develop a heritage precinct between Nampally and Rangamahal stations.
Sharing that the Hyderabad Metro got a better response than services in Chennai, Bengaluru and other cities, he said that the Metro Rail was garnering a ridership of 80,000 daily.
Also, the Minister took up the issue of parking woes at the Metro stations and said that the government would float tenders to build 42 multi-level parking complexes in the next 15 days.
KTR also mentioned that the government is planning last-mile connectivity from Metro stations by roping in operators of electrical vehicles adding that charging points will come up at the stations.
