Hyderabad receives rain after long gap

After a long hiatus, rains lashed Hyderabad on Friday afternoon offering respite for the people of the city who have been reeling under the summer-like weather.

Earlier this month, the Southwest Monsoon hit Telangana bringing heavy rains for a couple of days. However, since then, rains have not been a regular aspect leaving some occasional showers in parts of the state.

Meanwhile, the weather department stated that light to moderate rains are likely to occur at several places in the state with thunderstorms associated with heavy rain over isolated places is expected in the next 3-4 days.
