KCR to lay foundation for Gattu Lift Irrigation Project on June 29

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is scheduled to tour the Jogulamba-Gadwal district on June 29 and will be laying the foundation for the Gattu Lift Irrigation Project.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, he will also inspect the progress of work at the Thummilla Lift Irrigation Scheme and address a public meeting in Gadwal organized by TRS.

The state government had sanctioned the release of Rs 553.58 crore as funds for Phase I and Phase II of the Gattu project last month. 

Designed to provide irrigation for 28,000 acres in upland areas of Gattu, Dharur and KT Doddi mandals, the project will stabilise 41 minor irrigation tanks in 15 villages of the three mandals
