TTD row: Chandrababu writes to Hyderabad HC Chief Justice seeking judicial probe

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday wrote to Hyderabad High Court Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan seeking a judicial probe into the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) row.

Requesting to appoint a sitting High Court judge to look into the allegations and review the records before making their final report public, Chandrababu in his letter stated that the sensitivity of the issue has reached alarming proportions and the counter justification is unable to provide solace to the devotees.

In May, Former TTD chief priest Ramana Deekshithulu was sacked on the grounds that he exceeded the retirement age limit. However, this move came into effect after he made allegations against the TTD administration in regard to the financial irregularities and raised suspicion over several missing ornaments from the temple.

Following this, the TDP has been lashing out at Deekshitulu and vehemently denying his charges. TTD authorities, meanwhile, showed their reluctance in displaying the ornaments donated over the centuries as they claimed that the Agama Shastra doesn’t allow them to do so.

However, recently, TTD chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav informed that all the jewellery would be put on display soon.
