Rains to return to Hyderabad by first week of July
The Indian Meteorological Department in Hyderabad informed on Thursday that heavy rainfall is set to return to the city by July first week.
Hyderabad witnessed rains last on June 23 but the rains disappeared as the southwest monsoon weakened over southern districts, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar.
The city recorded maximum temperature of 33.2 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24.3 degree Celsius on Thursday.
As per the weather report issued by Telangana State Planning and Development Society, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected at several places with heavy rainfall at isolated places on June 29 and light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected for next two days.
