Gang of robbers loot jewellery store, leave owner bleeding

A gang of robbers targeted the Sri Jaya Bhawani jewellery shop situated in Biramguda of the Sangareddy district on Tuesday night. The incident took place at around 8 pm when the shop owner, Jairam was heading to close the store. The gang pretended to be customers and later threatened the shop owner with a pistol, demanding him to hand over the valuable jewellery.

However, the shop owner refused and the robbers thrashed him mercilessly. They locked him inside the bathroom bleeding and fled with 1 kg gold and Rs 4 lakh in cash.

Police who were alerted regarding the robbery are searching for the culprits based on the CCTV footage. The injured shop owner was shifted to a local hospital, where his condition is learned to be stable.
