Police teams trace six-day-old abducted baby in Bidar

After nearly twenty-four hours of search operations held by multiple police teams in Telangana and Karnataka, the 6-day-old baby, who was abducted by an unknown woman from Government Maternity Hospital in Koti, was reunited with her distressed parents on Tuesday. 

The baby was kidnapped after offering to help the baby’s mother, Vijaya, in the pretext of administering the vaccination.

According to the CCTV footage, the woman was found boarding a bus to Bidar, Karnataka. After obtaining the contact numbers of the driver and the conductor of the bus, the police found that the woman who was carrying a baby got down at a ‘kaman’ in Bidar around 4 pm.

Bidar cops were alerted and special teams were rushed to Bidar on Monday night. After hours of house-to-house search operations held in different places in Bidar, the baby was found abandoned in a government hospital on Tuesday. The baby is safe and the accused is absconding. The police ensured that the baby was in good medical condition before being taken back to her parents.
