Rahul Gandhi congratulates Kargil War Hero's daughter for penning book

Hyderabad : Congress president Rahul Gandhi has congratulated Aparajita, the 19-year-old girl from Hyderabad, who penned a book on her later father and Kargil War Hero Major Padmapani Acharya.
 
"This homage to a Maha Vir Chakra awardee could not have come at a better time," Rahul Gandhi said in his letter.
 
"Members of our armed forces have fought bravely to defend our nation. We Indians, collectively owe a great debt not only to them, but to all the armed forces families, whose immense personal sacrifices make it possible for the officers to serve at the frontier. It is heartening to note that this book is a child's tender ode to her father," he said.
