Girl succumbs to accident injuries, case registered against lover
A 24-year-old engineering student succumbed to the injuries she received in an accident that took place on June 30 near Ramoji Film City.
The deceased, Shwetha Reddy, a student of Netaji Institute of Engineering and Technology was travelling to Nalgonda with her lover, B Bharath, a pharmacy student on a motorcycle when they met with an accident.
The mishap occurred when Shwetha was trying to grab her handbag kept at the front of the two-wheeler and fell down resulting in severe head injuries.
After being admitted to the hospital, Shwetha succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.
Her family, meanwhile, lodged a kidnapping and attempt to murder case against Bharath.
According to the details, Shwetha was engaged but was still in a relationship with Bharath for four years. The family lodged a complaint saying that Shwetha was kidnapped by Bharath after a fight between them.
A case has been registered based on the complaint under Sections 366 (Kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) and 304 (II) (Punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC against Bharath.
