Thunderstorm warning issued in Telangana, AP for next 48 hours
According to the Indian Meteorological Department in Hyderabad on Friday, a thunderstorm is likely to occur at isolated places on Nizamabad, Komaram Bheem, Adilabad, Nirmal, Medchal, Jagitiyal, Asifabad, Jayashankar Bupalapalli, Peddapalli, Medak, Warangal, Kamareddy, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Sangareddy, Rajanna Siricilla, and Vikarabad districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.
Southwest Monsoon has become active in Telangana in the last 24 hours due to which heavy rainfall was witnessed in the state.
The IMD bulletin also issued a thunderstorm warning likely to occur in the districts of Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari, West Godavari and Visakhapatnam of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and all the districts of Rayalaseema.
On July 7-8, the above-mentioned districts of Telangana are expected to receive heavy rainfall while moderate rains and thundershowers are likely to occur in several places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema for the next five days.
