Six-day-old baby boy abducted from hospital in Adilabad

A six-day-old baby boy was abducted from the maternity ward of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Adilabad district during the early hours of Tuesday.

The baby boy born on July 4 to Dirbasi Mamatha, a resident of Chorpalli village in Narnoor mandal is learned to have been taken away by an unknown man.

Another patient in the ward, Athram Sunitha is reported to be the eyewitness to the incident, which took place between 2 am and 3 am.

The police have alerted all the police stations and check posts surrounding Adilabad town to trace the baby.
