Allow food in theatres: Hyderabad advocates urge TS Govt
Two advocates from Hyderabad submitted a representation to the state government to allow food inside movie theatres in Telangana.
Recently, the Maharashtra government had proposed to do the same. This move is said to have taken into consideration over the practice of charging exorbitant rates by food vendors at the movie theatres.
Two advocates from the city, PVG Umesh Chandra and Somasekhar on Saturday gave a representation to the controller of legal meteorology, Akun Sabharwal and highlighted the over-priced products sold in multiplexes.
In their letter, the two advocates said that the crowd visiting the multiplexes also include senior citizens, children, diabetic patients and those who are suffering from other ailments but they are compelled to leave their food and other beverages outside the entrance of the theatre.
