Paritala Sriram's comments shock TDP men
Paritala Sriram, son of minister Paritala Sunitha and an MLA aspirant, has made controversial comments about the womenfolk from the farming community.
Addressing a protest rally organized by the TDP on Tuesday at Anantapur, he said the womenfolk from the farmers’ families were resorting to prostitution to eke out their livelihood. He said the farmers were in dire straits and added that while men were committing suicides, the women were into prostitution to support their families.
The TDP men who were present at the spot, were shocked and looked sideways in embarrassment. These comments have gone viral on the social media. Paritala Sunitha is yet to respond about these comments by her son.
Meanwhile, YSRCP Rapthadu assembly constituency coordinator Topudurthi Prakash Reddy slammed Paritala Sri Ram for his comments. He said that was deeply insulting and has demeaned the farming community. He said the farm crisis was mainly due to the faulty policies of Chandrababu Naidu. He said thousands of farmers have become farm labourers and have migrated to Karnataka and Kerala in search of livelihood. What did Paritalas, in power for over 25 years, do to mitigate the crisis,he asked.
