Haritha Haram: One lakh saplings to be planted in Gajwel

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is taking up a massive plantation drive in Gajwel on the day of the launch of Haritha Haram. As a part of this, one lakh saplings would be planted at Gajwel.

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has been entrusted with the task of ensuring that the saplings are planted in available spaces, including houses, with the help of officials and locals. 

Stating that Haritha Haram would prove a boon for Gajwel, he informed that the saplings are being supplied to the respective departments taking part in the plantation drive and added that the public along with the officials are responsible to see to it that the saplings do not wither away due to negligence. 

The Minister also shared that each house would be given seven saplings and it was compulsory for people to plant and nurture them.

For the next one week, the officials will be creating awareness on Haritha Haram in the town. From kids to elders, everyone is being encouraged to take part in the massive planting of a variety of saplings.
