Rs 10000 crore for rural roads: Lokesh

Amaravati: TDP national general secretary and minister Nara Lokesh said that the TDP government was committed to give a face lift to the rural roads in the country by spending over Rs 10000 core. 

Speaking after conducting a review meeting on rural roads on Thursday, he said that all the habitations would be linked to BT roads by 2020. He said this work would be taken up on a war-footing.

He said that 4826-km-long roads would be laid for 3274 villages with the financial assistance of the AIBB. The total outlay is Rs 3575.94 crore, he added.
