Osmania hospital under dilapidation, GHMC notice issued

In the wake of several incidents of chips from the roof of building falling on the patients, the GHMC issued an alert notice to the hospital staff to be cautious. On learning about the issue, the superintendent of Osmania Hospital called on a meeting on Saturday to discuss on the aftermath.

About five incidents of ceiling falling on the patients have been reported less than in three months. Besides, being admitted into the hospital due to illness, the hospital patients suffered minor injuries after a portion of the ceiling fell on them. 

Heavy rains also played a major role in the falling of chips and leakages into the building. Though many incidents have come to the notice of the government, no action has been taken till now. 

Amidst the speculations of early polls in the state, the government is also not in a plan to construct a new building to the hospital.
