Election Commission Launches Voter Enrollment Programme

In view of the general elections to he held in 2019,  the Election Commission Of India has launched voter enrollment drive.  As part of it, district collectors will release draft voters list and invite objections for the revision of rolls. 

The Commission already warned of strict action against the officials if the voters names are deleted with any verification.  The names will be deleted only after the family members submitted the death certificates. 

The election Commission also said special arrangements are being made for the enrollment of disabled persons as voters and also at polling booths at the time of elections.
