Woman Sets herself ablaze in front of Bowenpally police station

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman attempted suicide by setting herself on fire in front of a police station on Tuesday afternoon here in the city. The incident which occurred under Secunderabad police station limits sent shock waves among the public.

Getting into the details, the woman identified as Savitha, a resident of Annanagar tried to immolate herself before Bowenpally police station. Locals who saw the woman with flames doused the fire and shifted her to Gandhi Hospital. She suffered 35 per cent burn injuries.

The reason for her suicide is yet to be ascertained.
