Hyderabad Metro Rail sets record, touches 20 million mark
With the consistent traffic jams in the city, the patronage for Hyderabad Metro touched 20 million on Tuesday.
In regard to it, the managing director and CEO of L&T Metro Rail (LTMRHL) KVB Reddy thanked the commuters for embracing HMR services. "We have touched the number earlier than expected with the Nagoleb- Ameerpet -Miyapur stretch," he said adding that there will be a rise in number once the operations of LB Nagar - Ameerpet commenced.
HMR on an average has 80,000 patronage in a day and number gradually increased with the heavy traffic jams.
Ever since the start of the operations in November last year, the metro passengers have been provided with all the services including free drinking water and the restrooms., said the L&T CEO.
Apart from these facilities, display of train timings on platforms and many options available once the commuters deboard the train to reach their destination," he added.
